• All rates expressed in both home and local currency of the host location, plus the exchange rate and date for the locations chosen
• For hard currency locations whose exchange rates tend to devalue, hotel and meal expenses may be quoted in U.S. dollars rather than local currency
• U.S. State Department per diems when the home country is the United States (This rate is also the maximum the U.S. Internal Revenue Service will allow a company to deduct for tax purposes.)
